Calgary’s summer has been absolutely incredible for Family Sessions this year and before we start to move into Fall, I wanted to make sure to blog as many of these summer sessions as possible. I am so grateful that the McKenzie family continues to include me on big life moments. I seriously cannot even believe that sweet Georgia is 2 so in celebration of her birthday… Mom (with baby belly in tow), Dad, Grandma + Grandpa and I headed to St. Patrick’s Island in East Village for some exploring + fun.
September 10th this year was an incredibly special day. The wedding of Katey + Sean was as close to perfection as one could possibly imagine. I remember thinking back to how the day progressed with such beautiful ease. Unfortunately, this isn’t always how wedding days go. But this day was perfect. These two couldn’t be more perfect for each other and you can definitely feel it from miles away.
I was in Hawaii earlier this year when I received a message from Sean that he wanted me to meet his fiancee Katey and chat about potentially shooting their Fall Wedding. I was elated. Sean and I have been friends for a very long time and I literally consider him one of the “nicest” human beings I have ever met. He is literally the definition of happiness. So I was quite curious to meet the girl who had stolen his heart. As soon as I landed from Hawaii, off to coffee I went to meet up with these two. From the very moment we met, Katey was one of those people who you feel like you’ve known your entire life. Literal kindred spirits.
