Wait until you see the sunset we got when I took Sharon and Jack on a little adventure for their gorgeous summer engagement session.

Summer is literally my favourite season of the year. Not only is it my birthday in July, but summers in Calgary are wonderful weather-wise, even if they are much too short. I can’t wait to get back to long summer evenings on my deck. Who’s with me?!

On a quick side note, isn’t it ironic that I happen to be blogging this amazing session on one of the coldest days we’ve seen this year with temperatures dropping to -35 degrees today? Ugh. Needless to say, this session ended up being one for the books.

I met these two at one of my favourite weddings in 2019. Thank you Emily + RJ! There is literally nothing better than word of mouth referrals. I was beyond elated when Sharon and Jack contacted me to photograph their upcoming wedding, especially when I found out that it was happening at one of my bucket list venues.

Along with their gorgeous dog Thor, I took these two to one of my favourite spots for their engagement session and we explored the evening away. Wow, did we ever get lucky with our sunset! I am so happy we decided to wait it out, even with the mosquitoes trying to eat us alive. My couples are tough! I am so thankful you guys pushed through. I definitely think it was worth it!
