Family photos hold more than just what everyone looked like at a certain point in time. They reflect how your family felt—your personalities, your connection, and the way you naturally interact with each other. As a Calgary family photographer, that’s exactly what I’m there to photograph. Over the course of a year, so much shifts. Kids grow, their personalities evolve, and the way they show up around you changes in subtle ways. The laughter, the way they lean into you, the familiar dynamics that play out every day—those are the moments that end up meaning the most.

These sessions are designed as a chance to step out of the routine and into something a little more fun. We build it around your family—how you connect, what your kids enjoy, and the kind of energy that feels most natural to you during your Calgary family session. There’s space to move, explore, laugh, and be curious, and I lead the session in a way that keeps everyone engaged and at ease. The pressure shifts off you, and onto me—so you can simply be present with your family while we create something that feels just as good as it looks.

During your Calgary family session, there’s a natural rhythm to how things unfold. We move, explore, interact, and keep things engaging so your kids stay involved and you’re never left wondering what to do next. I’m directing throughout, adjusting as we go, and creating moments that feel genuine while keeping the energy up and the experience easy to be part of.

By the end, it won’t feel like you’ve just checked off “family photos.” It will feel like time well spent together—something your family genuinely enjoyed, with images that reflect it.

The INVESTMENT

There are a few different ways to approach your family session, and the setting you choose plays a big role in how it all feels. As an experienced Calgary family photographer, I’ve come to know the city’s best pockets and neighbourhoods—spaces that work beautifully for a wide range of families and create a setting that feels easy to step into.

For some, there’s nothing more meaningful than home—the space where your routines happen and where your kids are most themselves—while Calgary offers a mix of beautiful locations that bring together both urban and nature in a way that still feels close to home. And for families wanting something just outside the everyday, Alberta’s landscapes offer open space, incredible scenery, and a chance to explore together. Each option creates a slightly different experience, while still resulting in images that feel natural, personal, and easy to come back to over time.

That’s completely normal—and expected. The session is designed to work with your kids as they are, not against them. I keep things engaging and flexible so everyone can settle into it, and that’s where the best moments come from.

Yes. I’ll guide you toward locations that photograph beautifully and feel aligned with your family. I’m always open to hearing if there’s a location that feels meaningful to you and your family as well.

Absolutely. Pets are part of the family and always welcome.

You’ll receive a Family Photography Client Guide after booking, which includes styling support and helpful direction so everything feels cohesive and easy to plan. Most importantly, choose something you feel comfortable in—when you feel good, it shows in your photos.

Sessions are up to 90 minutes, allowing time for movement, flexibility, and a natural pace without feeling rushed.

Sneak peek images are delivered within 2-3 weeks, with your full gallery 4-6 weeks after your session.

Yes, all images come with a full print release so you’re free to print and share them as you’d like. I highly recommend using the professional print lab available through your gallery. The quality is noticeably better, and these products are designed to last and look their best over time.

If conditions aren’t ideal, we’ll reschedule. I keep a close eye on the forecast and will guide you through the best options.

To reserve your session, a signed contract and 50% retainer are required, with the remaining balance due two weeks before your session. Payments can be made by credit card or e-transfer, making the process simple and straightforward.
