Thomas and Michelle Say I Do: Mickelson National Golf Club Wedding

In a celebration of classic sophistication and love, Thomas and Michelle exchanged vows on a gorgeous June day at the stunning Mickelson National Golf Club. With its grand and expansive design, the new clubhouse offered breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty, setting the stage for an unforgettable wedding day.

I started the day with the couples first look in their very own backyard. It is as if this gorgeous space was literally created for this moment. The butterflies, the nerves—it was a heartfelt instance that marked the beginning of their wedding day journey. Time seemed to stand still as they shared this intimate moment together. Little did they know that this would end up becoming their favorite part of the day as well. The couple said that “it was so nice to have a moment together to take it all in, to take the pressure off of the rest of the day, and allow us to fully enjoy more of our wedding day together!”

The Mickelson National Golf Club proved to be an enchanting backdrop for Thomas and Michelle’s special day. Nestled just outside the Calgary city limits, the venue exuded an air of exclusivity, making the wedding feel like a private and magical affair. The couple loved that the venue was new and they would be one of the firsts to get married there. Plus they are avid golfers themselves so a gorgeous golf course wedding only made sense.

The club’s new and magnificent clubhouse was a sight to behold. Offering panoramic views of the lush greens and rolling landscapes, it provided the perfect canvas for capturing cherished moments on camera. The incredible service and amenities offered by the venue’s staff elevated the wedding experience, ensuring that every guest felt pampered and cherished.

After the wedding and as they basked in the joy of their newlywed bubble, I asked Michelle and Thomas if they had some valuable advice for future couples and here’s what they had to say, “Remember to take moments during the day to pause, take a breath, and look around. The day goes by so quickly, and to be able to pause and take a mental snapshot of the day and that moment in time is an incredibly special feeling.”

I asked the couple if they were nervous. ”Yes and no; the day comes with a lot of attention, but we had never been so sure of our decision to marry each other!”

Another favourite part of the day for the couple was seeing everyone from their lives in one room together. They knew it was coming, but it was an overwhelmingly emotional feeling to have everyone from so many different parts of their lives come together to celebrate with them.

The couple walked down the aisle to the beautiful tune of “Sunrise” by Ryan Bingham, setting the perfect tone for the beginning of their journey together. And as they swayed gracefully for their first dance as a married couple, “Yours” by Russell Dickerson resonated through the air, encapsulating their love story in every note. The incredible Jesse Peters took us into the party portion of the evening and wow did he deliver! If you are looking for insanely elevated entertainment, he is your guy! I hope to see him at many more weddings!

Looking forward to their future as a married couple, Michelle and Thomas expressed their excitement for the simple yet profound pleasures life has in store for them. “Laughing, adventuring, and growing together for the rest of their lives!”

Thomas and Michelle’s wedding at Mickelson National Golf Club was an ode to timeless elegance and heartfelt emotions. The venue’s natural beauty only added to the charm, creating an unforgettable day for the couple and their loved ones. As the sun set on their wedding day, and we did pop out for sunset photos, Thomas and Michelle embarked on their new journey as a married couple, forever cherishing the memories of their classic and sophisticated wedding at Mickelson National Golf Club. Thank you gorgeous friends for trusting me with your incredible day! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
