As we approach the one-year anniversary of Lisa and Eric’s breathtaking September Alforno Bakery & Cafe wedding, it’s the perfect time to relive the magic of their special day.

Lisa and Eric’s love story began with a casual coffee date at Alforno, a place that would soon hold immense significance for them. Meeting for the first time after connecting online, their chemistry was pretty instant from the start. They enjoyed a cozy coffee and a riverside stroll, which seamlessly transitioned into a drink at Earls in Eau Claire. And just when you thought one date was enough, Eric’s spontaneous decision to meet up after a Flames game on 17th Ave turned it into an unforgettable three-date day!

For Lisa and Eric, Alforno isn’t just any wedding venue—it’s a place that carries sentimental value. The minimalist, clean, and modern vibe of Alforno perfectly aligned with their personal style. It was where their journey as a couple began, making it the ideal location to start their forever journey as well. The coffee shop that witnessed their first meetings also became the backdrop for their wedding, bringing their story full circle.

The excitement leading up to their big day was undeniable. After the wedding, I asked the couple what their most anticipated part of the day had been. Both Lisa and Eric were most eagerly looking forward to seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. Their first look was really special which also included beautiful moments with their sweet old boy Hunter who is sadly no longer with us. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am that we have these heartfelt memories of the bond between these three. He is very dearly missed.

Their favorite part of the wedding day was celebrating with their nearest and dearest. Surrounded by the most incredible family and friends, they revelled in the joy of the occasion. Every detail came together seamlessly, creating a day that was not only wonderful but also perfect in every way.

When asked about advice for future couples, Lisa and Eric shared a simple yet profound insight: “Don’t stress, everything will work out.” Their experience taught them that sometimes, the best approach is to let go of the worry and trust that everything will fall into place.

Nerves are an inevitable part of any wedding day, and Lisa and Eric were no exception. While they both admitted to feeling nervous about speaking in front of their loved ones during the ceremony, the rest of the day flowed seamlessly. However, the biggest surprise was how quickly the day seemed to pass. Time truly does fly when you’re immersed in love and happiness.
