With this week’s snowfall transforming Calgary into a winter wonderland, it’s the perfect time to reminisce about Tyler and Katie’s Griffith Woods Engagement Session.

Nestled in the heart of Calgary, Griffith Woods offers a serene escape characterized by dense forests, winding trails, and the soothing melody of flowing waters. It’s the quintessential backdrop for couples seeking a rustic ambiance tinged with tranquility. The park’s picturesque trails wind through dense foliage, along ravines, and by the scenic Elbow River, creating an idyllic setting for capturing cherished moments.

Tyler and Katie’s decision to include their beloved Australian Shepherd, Abby, added an extra layer of joy to the session. As a fellow dog enthusiast and Australian Shepherd mom myself, I couldn’t help but appreciate the playful energy that Abby brought to the shoot. Dogs have an uncanny knack for infusing every moment with boundless enthusiasm and love, making them perfect companions for engagement photos.

March weather in Calgary is notorious for its unpredictability, transitioning from summer-like conditions to sudden snowfall in the blink of an eye. Katie had hoped for snow during their session, and although it seemed unlikely, nature had a surprise in store. Midway through their shoot, the sky opened up, showering us with colossal snowflakes, transforming the scene into a magical winter wonderland. Despite ending up drenched, our smiles remained as bright as ever, capturing the sheer joy of the moment.
