Kristin and Daniel hold a special place in my heart – they’re the kind of friends whose bond lasts a lifetime. Being their wedding photographer for their dreamy fall wedding at The Lake House Calgary was an honour beyond words.

Our day kicked off with both Kristin and Daniel preparing for their big moment at the same gorgeous home. The girls took over the upstairs, while the guys hung out downstairs. The joyful energy was infectious, and I loved darting back and forth between them as they readied themselves for their special day.

One of the highlights of the day was our dreamy First Look between Kristin and Daniel. We found a picture-perfect spot in Fish Creek for this magical moment. What made it even more extraordinary was the news they received while planning their wedding – they were expecting their first child! Kristin positively glowed with joy, and it was a privilege to capture this beautiful chapter of their love story. We then met up with their super fun wedding party! Our wedding party photos took full advantage of the stunning fall landscape, embracing the rich tones and vibrant colors of the season.

As you can probably tell from my previous blog posts, I am such a huge fan of The Lake House. It is by far one of my favourite wedding venues in Calgary. The Lake House provided the most enchanting backdrop for their ceremony. Its unique ambiance adds an extra layer of magic to any wedding. As a bonus, a couple of the wedding guests (thanks Darnell and Morgan!) who are close friends of the couple generously granted us access to the lake, where we captured some breathtaking photos on the dock.

The reception was a heartfelt affair, with emotional speeches that left no dry eye in the room. The evening continued with a beautiful cake-cutting ceremony and, of course, the couple’s first dance – where the bride surprised everyone by changing into a second stunning gown for the evening.

Kristin and Daniel’s fall wedding at The Lake House Calgary was nothing short of a dream come true. The love, the laughter, and the magical moments shared throughout the day created cherished memories that will last a lifetime. It was an honour and a joy to be part of this incredible celebration of love.
