I had the absolute honour of photographing a Ballet Portrait Session for the insanely beautiful + talented Kailey. Ballet has always amazed me. The grace. The elegance. The sheer strength that is inside this tiny human is incredible. I thought long and hard about a location for our session. My husband and I have been fly fishing these waters for many years and it has been a dream for me to shoot a session here. I mean, look at this heaven. The day was perfect. Not a soul in sight. All we did was dance.

Kailey has been dancing with the Alberta Ballet for the past 3 years and YYC Dance Project for the last year. YYC Dance Project is an elite dance team that is partnered with the School of Alberta Ballet and dancers must audition to be on the team and must be enrolled in the full time ballet program at the School of Alberta Ballet. Dancers train in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Tech, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Conditioning. Focus is on training and performance. They encourage dancers to find their individuality and strengths by building their confidence and connection to the outside dance community.

Kailey also won runner up VIP and top 10 at Nuvo Dance Convention this past year. She is simply incredible and her dedication to her craft is amazing!
