NRT Bridal Portrait with the Designer Herself
It’s a pretty great day when talented wedding dress designer Nicole Rita Tomney of NRT Fashions tells you that your photography hit her wedding vibe exactly in this downtown Calgary Urban Bridal Portrait Editorial.
I’ve had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with this talented powerhouse for many creative sessions this year and it’s been a dream come true. Her wedding gowns are exquisite. There is so much attention to the fine details and each dress is literally a piece of art created for that one special bride. Finding your dream gown can however be very stressful.
After all, your dress sets the tone for the wedding as a whole. What does your dream dress look like? Between A-line, Ballgown, Tea Length, Trumpet, or the stunning Mermaid dress that Nicole herself modelled for this Urban Bridal Portrait Session, the options are endless. Are you the bride who’s dream look is a regal ballgown or do you prefer to draw attention to your curves with a sexy sheath gown? Is it important to have a gown where you can move freely and dance the night away or have you perhaps selected a destination wedding where warm weather might be a determining factor on the style you choose? All of these are important factors to consider when picking the perfect dress for you.I believe a great place to start is to pick three words that describe your dream dress. Whether you want to feel vintage, classic, elegant, romantic or glamorous for example, go into dress shopping with a clear vision of how you want to look on your big day. And BE COMFORTABLE. I cannot stress this enough. Comfort shows in your wedding photographs. Practice sitting in your dress. I find it funny how many brides have never actually sat down in their wedding gowns until the actual big day.
For this downtown Calgary Bridal Portrait Session, we decided on an urban NYC feel and I definitely think we hit the nail on the head with this Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City) vibe. Make sure to visit Nicole and check out NRT Fashions at the Calgary Bridal Expo this Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park. And for all you brides who can see themselves getting married in an NRT Custom Wedding Gown and you’re still looking for your perfect wedding photographer, give me a call.
You’re definitely my kind of bride.
